What Would You Do?

You are poised at your computer for the opening of ticket presales and get the best tickets that you can. You plan a wonderful Urban Road Trip for the start of the tour. Book a flight.
Reserve your hotels. Start the countdown of days until you will finally, finally see Mr.Urban live..........

And then you receive the envelope in the mail..... You are summoned for jury duty in June..............

Aargh!! How can this be??? Jury duty when I have tickets for back to back concerts??? Can I send someone else to serve? Can I pretend to just "forget"? I ask my attorney (hubby) what happens to people who do not show up when summoned....

Of course the logical answer is to request that my jury duty be delayed.... because I HAVE to see Keith!!! Unfortunately few understand that particular need - I don't think that is one of the 'hardships' the court accepts. Not only that, but I was actually summoned first in January and I told them then teachers can't serve in January. What about my 250 tuition paying students?? So they let me off in January....

Okay. My attorney tells me if I do not show up for jury duty I will probably have to spend a day in jail. Compared to not going on my KURT, that doesn't sound too bad. I will go to jail to see Keith Urban!!
